Chief Minister to present ‘VIA-Solar Vidarbha Udyog Gaurav Awards’ on 15th

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be the chief guest of the Foundation Day ceremony function of the Vidarbha Industries Association slated for September 15. He will also distribute the coveted ‘VIA-Solar Vidarbha Udyog Gaurav Awards 2018’ to the winners at Hotel Centre Point, Ramdaspeth Nagpur at 4.00 pm.


The Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) will be celebrating the 55th year of its establishment on September 15. On the occasion, the premier organisation of the region’s industrialists will recognise the torchbearers of industrial development in the region. It is conceived as an annual initiative for recognizing individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contribution to the industrial development of Vidarbha region. The award is encouraged by the support of the home grown renowned Solar Group, which is India’s largest manufacturer, supplier and exporter of industrial explosives and initiating systems.


An independent and credible team of juries evaluated the most deserving nomination. No VIA member is part of this evaluation procedure. Justice V S Sirpurkar, former Judge Supreme Court, is the chairperson of panel of juries, who would validate the selection process against all nominations received under all categories. The awards programme is nomination based and an active industry operating in any of the 11 districts of Vidarbha was eligible to nominate themselves in the following category - Large Scale Industry; Medium Scale industry; Small scale industry; Women entrepreneur of the year; Best start-up of the region; Most promising unit in developing districts; Best exporter of the region; and Best service provider.


Entry to the ceremony is by invitation only and invitees are expected to occupy their seats by 4.00 pm. VIA President, Atul Pande and Secretary Dr Suhas Buddhe have requested all VIA members and invitees (by formal invitation only) to join the ceremony.
