Former Chief Minister and AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh alleged that massive financial irregularities have taken place in purchase of footwears and water bottles given to tribals under the Government scheme. He also challenged CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for a debate on works done in ten-year rule of Congress government and present BJP government.

Interacting with mediapersons at the Congress office in State capital, Digvijay Singh alleged that footwears, water bottle, saree distributed to poor people under Government schemes have been purchased at inflated prices. When he was on tour of Rewa and Sidhi, people complained that they have developed boils on feets after wearing the footwears given to them under the scheme.

He told that he had dragged all those persons to court who levelled baseless allegations against him. He dared CM to oppose allegations which he had levelled against him.

He also clarified the meaning of Hinduism and said that BJP promised to construct Ram Path but this promise is yet to be fulfilled. However, Congress will construct it on coming to power. Coming on spiralling petrol prices, he said that Central Excise on fuel has been increased twelve times from 2014 to 2018.
