Pathology Department of JLN Hospital and Research Centre of BSP has conducted the 6th Hematology Up-date Workshop at its conference hall, where thought provoking lectures of several renowned pathologists and Hematologists in the country on the blood tests and treatment were organised.
Director I/c (JLN Hospital &Research Centre) Dr K N Thakur lighted the ceremonial lamp to mark the formal inauguration of Hematology Update programme.


While elaborating upon the utility of CME, he specifically exhorted the assembled doctors to keep their knowledge and know-how ‘update’.


Special invitee on this occasion, Director (Medical & Health Services) Dr SK Issar pointed that the pathology department of Hospital has presented an unique example by organizing such important lectures when we all are facing the precarious circumstances owing the prevailing epidemic of Dengue. Director (Medical & Health Services) Dr Anurag Shrivastava also was full of praise about the lectures series, in which several renowned physicians from Chhattisgarh state have actively participated.

Dr Raju Bhaisare informed that
Dr R K Jena, Prof & Head of Clinic Hematology informed in detail about the reasons for reduction in platelets and its effective treatment while Dr Bhounaj Khodaiji imparted highly significant information. Dr. Mrunalini Kotru, Professor from New Delhi spoke on Hemolytic Anemia, while Dr A K Ganju from Nagpur informed about the significance of correct blood-test and its utility.


Dr Gurmit Singh, Consultant, Bhilai imparted new guidelines regarding the treatment of CML, which is a type of blood cancer.Dr Raju Bhaisare ND Dr. Gurmit Singh conducted the proceedings of program, and also proposed the vote of thanks while concluding this significant event.
