CM announces development works worth Rs 48.56 crore in Majhouli tehsil

After performing bhoomipujan and dedicating development works worth Rs 48.56 crore in Majhouli tehsil headquarters of Sidhi district, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Baiga tribals of Sidhi and Singrauli district will be provided an assistance of Rs 1,000 per month for nutritious meal. Chouhan said that shoes and slippers were distributed to the beneficiaries under the Charan Paduka Yojana only after proper checking. The Chief Minister announced to make Madvas a tehsil and increase the capacity of Majhouli from 30-50 beds.


Chouhan said that the State Government has taken concrete measures for the development of the state besides bringing prosperity in the lives of the people of the state. Giving information about Sambal Yojana, Outstanding Electricity Bill Waiver Scheme, Saubhagya Yojana and Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare Schemes to the people, he urged them to come forward to rightfully to avail the benefits of the schemes.


Chouhan told that 50 per cent posts in teachers’ recruitment this month are reserved for women. Apart from this, 33 per cent seats will be reserved for women in all other departments except Forest Department.
He said that Janjatiya Adhikar Sabha will be constituted in gram panchayats so that disputes can be settled at village level itself. Chouhan reiterated his commitment for the progress of the State on the occasion.


At the outset, Chief Minister Chouhan and Sadhna Singh performed ‘Kanya Pujan’ and gave the message of ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’. Among those present at the programme were MP Prabhat Jha, Ajay Pratap Singh, Riti Pathak and Janardan Mishra, MLA Kunwar Singh Tekam, Chairman of Vindhya Development Authority Subhash Singh, Zila Panchayat chairman Abhyuday Singh, other public representatives and a huge gathering.
