Heavy rains warning in many parts of State

In last twenty four hours showers lashed many places including Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Sagar , Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Shahdol, Rewa divisions. On Saturday, Bhopal city witnessed cloudy weather throughout. Wind velocity recorded was 25km per hour. Maximum temperature recorded was 25 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature was 23 degrees Celsius. Humidity recorded was at 95%. Thunder showers were witnessed in many areas of the city. However, weather remained cool and windy.

Rains’ intensity was not persistent and sporadic rainfall was witnessed at isolated areas. Other areas like Rewa, Sagar, Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Bhopal. Hoshangabad, Shahdol witnessed thunder showers . Rains recorded in Gohad is 12 cm, Lahar and Bhander witnessed 10 cm rains, Udaypura witnessed 9cm, Datia, Singrauli 8cm rains respectively, Mehgaon and Sewadah 7cm each. Other areas like Isagarh, Gwalior, Dabra, Bareli, Bakswaha, Chattarpur, Begumganj, Pichor, Tikamgarh witnessed 4 cm rainfall each respectively. As per Weather Department heavy rains warning has been issued at areas like Guna, Gwalior,Ashoknagar, Bhind, Morena, Raisen, Sagar, Damoh, Dindori, Anuppur. In next twenty four hours major fluctuations in temperature range is not expected and rainfall activity is likely to continue with same intensity in many parts of the State.

The system in the Bay of Bengal is moving in north and eastern Madhya Pradesh. In last 24 hours, good rainfall has occurred in Rewa and Satna along with some districts of Gwalior, Chambal, Bundelkhand. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rains in Guna, Gwalior, Datia, Ashoknagar, Sagar and Damoh etc in the next 24 hours. In areas like Gwalior continuous rainfall is being witnessed. Rainfall is continuing in the area since last 24 hours. 64.5 mm rainfall was recorded in Gwalior.

Weather department stated that the Upper air circulation exists over Uttar Pradesh and under its influence intensity of Rains is likely to get increase in State. Convergence of eastern and western winds are also resulting in sporadic rain showers in many parts of the state.In State capital rainfall activity is going to increase especially due to the system formed in Bay of Bengal.

Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls on a few days is very likely over in many divisions in Madhya Pradesh during first week of September. Windy weather and drizzling atmosphere made people to come out at local tourist places like Boat Club to enjoy weekends . Some areas in city witnessed water-logging after sporadic showers.
