Bharatiya Janata Party is preparing for a mega show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the imposition of Model Code of Conduct in Chhattisgarh. During his proposed visit to the capital, the Prime Minister is likely to lay foundation stone for new building campus of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly at Atal Nagar (Naya Raipur) and inaugurate the much talked about Dau Kalyan Singh (DKS) Super-specialty Hospital. This proposed visit is likely to take place on September 27.

If the highly-placed sources are to be believed, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had held discussions with Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda in this direction and it was assured that the remaining construction and touch-up works are likely to get completed within next 15-20 days. During his stay at Raipur on Friday, Nadda held interaction with Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar, who appraised the Union Minister about the progress of the hospital.

Accordingly, apart from the Union Health Minister, efforts are being made to invite PM Modi for the inauguration. On the same date, laying of foundation stone for new building campus of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, which will be constructed on 60 acres area in Sector 29 of Atal Nagar, can be carried out. It is also being stated that if PM Modi gives his approval, then there will also be a mega public meeting which will be addressed by him. Since the imposition of Model Code of Election Conduct is likely to be imposed during the first week of October, the BJP is expecting to create a political milieu in its favour by this mega show.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will be commencing the second phase of Vikas Yatra from September 5. BJP National President Amit Shah is likely to inaugurate the Vikas Yatra from Dongargarh.
