Sacred padukas of Shirdi Saibaba to reach Raipur on September 7

The sacred padukas of Saibaba of Shirdi will reach Raipur city on September 7. Addressing a press conference at Raipur Press Club on Saturday, Chairman of Sri Sai Baba Paduka Poojan Mahotsav evam Ai Bhakt Mahasammelan Chairman Dr Navin Gupta said that the padukas of Saibaba would be brought to Raipur city from Mumbai by flight.


The padukas of Saibaba will be kept for darshan at Indoor Stadium Budhapara on September 8. As part of centenary year commemorations of Saibaba Samadhi, the padukas of Saibaba is being brought to Chhattisgarh, said Dr Gupta.
A grand shobha yatra of Saibaba will be taken out in the State Capital on September 8. The shobha yatra will begin from BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar at 8 am the day. The procession will pass through various places of the State Capital including Avanti Vihar, Telibandha, Shyam Nagar, Kalibadi and other places, he added.


Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh will be the chief guest at the Paduka Poojan programme. Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal will preside over the function. Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar, Mayor Pramod Dubey, MLAs Satyanarayan Sharma and Srichand Sundrani will be present as special invitees. Public Works Department Minister Rajesh Munat is the convener of the event. Vipin Dada S Kolhe is the Chief of the Paduka Poojan. A team of 14 people from Shirdi will accompany the padukas of Saibaba.


Thousands of people from various parts of the state are expected to participate in the event. Chief Advisor of the event P P Soti, Prakash Dawra, Vikas Agrawal, Sadhna Paswan, Ritu Sharma, Gunanidhi Mishra and others were present at the press conference.
