Staff Reporter,

CONGRESS President Rahul Gandhi started his two-day tour of Vindhya region in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. He started his tour by paying obeisance at famous Kamta Nath temple in Satna district’s Chitrakoot. Gandhi made a scathing attack on Modi and Shivraj Governments while addressing people in Chitrakoot on Thursday. He made a few promises to people and the highlight was his assurance to waive off farmers’ loans within 10 days of forming Government.

Addressing people in Chitrakoot, Rahul Gandhi accused the State Government of wasting 15 years and once again dubbed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as ‘Ghosnaveer’ and said that the CM is a machine of promises. Coming down heavily on Modi Government, he told that as soon as Congress is voted to power in Centre, Gabbar Singh Tax (GST) will be abolished and actual GST will be introduced. Once again raking up the Rafale deal, he told that the Modi Government helped its industrialist friend in getting the contract notwithstanding the fact that he had never manufactured even a single plane in his life. He also tried to address unemployment problem faced by youth by saying that on coming to power in State, he wishes to see that every mobile should have tag line of Made in Chitrakoot, Made in Madhya Pradesh. Hearing this, youths started chanting Rahul Gandhi’s name.

Commenting on claims of development works done by Chief Minster Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he said that if anything has been accomplished in Madhya Pradesh then it is due to people’s hard work. Criticising demonestisation decision of the Central Government, he gave three guarantees to people. First one that farmers will feel that after their day-long hard work, they are getting benefitted. Second, youth will feel that their CM is busy to provide job to them and third guarantee is related to women’s security. He told that State Congress President Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia are individuals of words and they speak less but believe in doing what they say. On the occasion, all senior Congress leaders including Kamal Nath, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh, Deepak Babaria and others were present.

Later, Rahul Gandhi addressed a huge public meeting in Satna. In this public meeting also, Rahul Gandhi left no stone unturned to criticise PM Modi and Chief Minister Chouhan.

Talking about Rafale deal, he said that it is only industrialists who got benefitted through demonetisation, GST and Rafale deal. Rahul Gandhi said that he wants to know from PM why Rafale jet worth Rs 526 crore was purchased for Rs 1600 crores? He also attacked Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Vijay Mallaya’s case. He also targeted State BJP Government by reckoning Vyapam scam, e-tender scam, highest farmer suicide rate, women insecurity etc. Gandhi lastly said, “This country has been not made by any PM, Congress or BJP, rather the farmers, youths, women have built the nation with their hard toil and dedicated efforts,” he stated.
