16-yr-old Bhilai girl dies of Dengue

Dengue is continuing to take toll and nothing seems to be capable for stopping it. In a fresh case, a 16-year-old girl succumbed of Dengue on Sunday morning during treatment at a private hospital in Raipur.


As per reports, Isha Singh (16), daughter of Omprakash Singh, a resident of Ward-36, Panchsheel Nagar, Khursipar, Bhilai was admitted to Sparsh Hospital on August 26 after she had fever, where she was admitted for 36 hours.


A student of Class-10, Isha’s condition deteriorated and she was referred to a private hospital in Raipur, where she succumbed during treatment on Sunday. Her father, Om Prakash Singh has alleged the doctors of Sparsh Hospital of being negligent during treatment of her daughter and said that her daughter condition deteriorated due to their negligence.


On the other hand, District Chief Medical and Health Officer, Dr G Singh has issued another list of hospitals where free treatment of dengue will be done. In all 14 hospitals have been added in the list and patients reaching to these hospitals will be treated free also if need is felt to admit these patients then the hospitals will have to inform about the patient to CMHO and refer to the serious patients to four hospitals with ICU facility comprising of Sparsh Hospital Supela Ramnagar, Chandulal Chandrakar Hospital, BM Shah Hospital and CM Medical College, Kachandur.


Those 14 hospitals where free treatment of dengue will be provided are Gidodi Devi Hospital, Khursipar, Pragya Nursing Home, Power House, Karuna Hospital, Power House, Jan Kalyan Hospital, Shankaracharya Medical College, Junwani, Bhilai Nursing Home, SR Hospital Chickli, Pradeep Hospital, Chickli, Suraj Nursing Home, Kohka, SS Hospital, Chhoani, Ambe Hospital Bhilai, Rivival Hospital, Supela, Sai Jyoti Hospital, Bhilai-3 and Jyoti Hospital, Charoda.
