Bike ambulance service, boon for masses across Kabirdham

The Bike Ambulance Service launched by State Government is proving boon for the people living in interior region as patients are reaching hospital on time.It is important to inform that most benefited are the pregnant women who often die or face miscarriage when they do not reach hospital on time due to delay in ambulance reaching up to the patient. The service has right now started in three far-flung
villages namely Kukdur, Bokkarkhar and Daldali.


Collector Awanish Kumar Sharan has also instructed officials to ensure that the service should be provided specially in far-flung villages.The Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr K K Gajbhiya said that District Mineral Foundation (DMF) had sponsored for three bike ambulance for Pandariya and Bodla region. The ambulance service is available here in community health centres in Kukudur, Bokkarkhar and Daldali. He further added that this service will help in improving the health services and help reach up to the last person of the society.


Dr Gajbhiya added that the health department is trying to provide this service to maximum people. Till date, the service has been provided to 12 pregnant women, 22 check-up of pregnant women and 5 children were reached hospital on time at Community Health Centre, Daldali. Similarly, the ambulance service was provided in other two community health centres.


One can avail the service by informing to either any mitanin, anganbadi centre worker or ANM. The phone number for the service has also been displayed at every corner of the village and the villagers can also get it from mitanins, ANM or anganbadi workers.
