It may be mentioned that this project was proposed since decades and is pending in pink book of year 2016-17. As per the pink book year 2016-17, West Central Railway is making survey of Chhindwara-Sagarvia Kareli rail line to add various villages of Narsinghpur in the line. The Chhindwara-Sagar railway line on the way of Kareli covers the distance of 245 km.

Furthermore, the Satpuda Bundelkhand region even after the 71 years of country’s independence it is the most deprived region in railway facilities in entire country.

Also the population in this region is five percent of country’s population. Due to lack of railway facilities many development works been scarce in this region.

Thus, laying the railway line would directly connect more than 5000 villages with entire country, from north to south and would generate many employments for people.
