‘Teachers, students should help underprivileged’

GOVERNOR Anandiben Patel has said that teachers and students of universities and colleges should visit to different villages and teach children. Children studying in class VIIIth to Xth of all schools should be taken on a tour of universities and factories, so that they get inspired and aspire to reach there. Governor was addressing the closing ceremony of a workshop organised on ‘Writings of Indian Philosophy in Modern Perspective’, at the University of Buddhist-Indian Knowledge Studies in Sanchi on Saturday.


Vice Chancellor of Sanchi University Acharya Dr Yagyeshwar S Shastri told about the objectives of the workshop. He said that the Sanchi University has taken up the challenge of Writings of Indian Philosophy in the modern perspective. This is a 10-year project. Chief Minister has presented an amount of Rs 10 crore to the University for this work. This project will be completed through small modules (projects). The Vice Chancellor told that all research presented in the workshop will be compiled and published for which an editorial team will be constituted.
