Attempt to murder accused nabbed

Madhotal police nabbed an accused of attempt murder of a man and seized a loaded pistol from him. Accused has been identified as Neeraj Thakur (30), son of Chandrabhan Thakur, a resident of Dixitpura.

Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh informed that Neeraj Thakur is a habitual criminal and cases under sections 307, 34 of the IPC and section 25, 27 of Arms Act have been registered against him at Hanumantal and Madhotal police stations.

During a special campaign under the supervision of Additional SP (City), Rajesh Kumar Tripathi and CSP, Adhartal, Kaushal Singh police received information about listed criminal named Neeraj Thakur who was sight near Katangi by-pass.

Taking prompt action on the information, police team started a rigorous search and succeeded in apprehending the accused at Katangi by-pass. In his search, police team seized a loaded pistol while further investigations are underway.

SP, Amit Singh informed that a total number of 54 cases of murder, attempting murder, attack, illegal money recovery etc have been registered against the accused at different police stations. The accused was arrested with active working of police team led by SHO of Madhotal police station, N. K. Pandey comprised of Head Constable, Panchamlal, Constable, Mahesh Pandey, Sandeep and Dheerendra Tomar.
