Mohgaon-Khawasa four lane stretch to have 4 fly overs

The primary work for construction of four lane from Mohgaon – Khawasa has been started. Here a flyover would be constructed as wild cat and other wild animals roam in the area.

For starting the construction of flyover, the construction agency begin the cutting down of trees bear Bodanallah culvert. To make this 28-kilometer-long four lane, around 5000 trees would be cut down. This four lane would be constructed with the estimated cost of Rs. 850 crore. Along with this removal of various encroachment on this route would be carried out.

Information provided that total four flyovers between Mohgaon to Khawasa and total 10 under passages would be constructed. The first flyover would be constructed in forest area between Mohgaon to Gandatola. Its length would be 500 metre. Second flyover would be constructed of 800 to 1000 metre on pond between Rukhad to Dudhiya. Third flyover would be constructed between Kurai to Metewani. Its length would be 500 metre. Fourth flyover would be constructed between Khawasa to Maharashtra state border and its length would be 300 metre.

Under passage are being constructing for safety of wild life in Kurai Ghati as per the NHAI. In Kurai Ghati, 10 under passages would be constructed with five metre above the level. Four lane would be constructed as cement concrete. In the forest dominated area, where the four lane would be constructed from road ground level a 3 metre high Ecoistic noise Barrier would be installed, which would control sound and lights of traffic. This would not affect wildlife.
The process of removing encroachment at identified places has been started. Maximum encroachments are at Khawasa and for this, department action has been started and work will start soon.
