Police teams serve challans to 70 auto-rickshaw owners

Separate police teams served challans to 70 auto-rickshaw owners for violating traffic safety norms and removed hooters and sirens from several private vehicles, on Monday.

Under the direction of Collector and District Magistrate Chhavi Bhardwaj, Superintendent of Police, Amit Singh (IPS) and Regional Transport Officer Santosh Paul, combine teams of police, traffic police and Road Transport Department have started a rigorous campaign under the supervision of gazette officers for violation of traffic safety norms.

In order to implement the order, special campaign has been started under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Amrut Meena and DSP (Traffic), Mayank Singh Chouhan.

During the campaign separate teams conducted checking of a total number of 70 auto-rickshaws and school vans and served challans for violation of traffic safety norms. Vehicle owners were warned for avoiding violation of safety norms for implementation of orders and ensuring safety of school students and other passengers.

RTO, Santosh Paul extended appeal towards vehicle owners to remove hooters, sirens and pressure horns from their vehicles to avoid any kind of inconvenience during the special campaign.
