Works worth Rs 600 crores laid and dedicated to make Sidhi a Mini Smart City

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation and dedicated construction and development works worth Rs 600 crores in Sidhi under Mini Smart City Yojana. Addressing a huge public meeting, Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh will be made number one in the country in the field of development and public welfare. A campaign to the effect has been launched. The State Government is working with commitment for people’s development besides making the lives of the general public better.


Giving information about the public welfare schemes being run in the state, CM Chouhan urged people to come forward with authority to avail the benefits of the schemes. He said that the Sambal Yojana has been launched to provide basic facilities to the weaker sections of the society. Through this, facilities like pattas, housing, education, health and employment etc. are being provided to poor families. The State Government is providing all kinds of facilities and support to the meritorious children of poor families for higher education under the Sambal Yojana. He told people to stop worrying about their children’s higher education and teach them well, the State Government will make the entire arrangement.


Chouhan said that the electricity bills of poor families have been waived and they will now be given power at the rate of Rs 200 per month. Giving information about the Saubhagya Yojana, Chouhan said that electricity is
reaching every village and Majra Tola. The day is not far when the house of every poor will be illuminated. First phase of Mahan (Gulab Sagar) Project dedicated: The Chief Minister dedicated the first phase of the Mahan (Gulab Sagar) project costing Rs 486.96 crore. This is a large project which is built on the Mahan river of Khaddi village in Rampur Naikin block. The bhoomipujan of the second phase was performed by the Chief Minister at Amarpur on Sunday. On completion of this project, irrigation facility will be expanded in 23,574 hectare area covering 167 villages of tehsil Rampur Naikin, Gopad Banas, Behri and Sihawal. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has made arrangements for irrigation in 40 lakh hectares. Irrigation facilities have been expanded throughout the region through the Bansagar Project. Irrigation is being expanded in Sidhi district through the Gulab Sagar Mahan Project. After the completion of this scheme, the economic and social condition of the beneficiaries will improve, ground water level will rise, the livestock will get sufficient fodder and the availability of water will increase.


Foundation and dedication of development works worth Rs 23.16 crore in Churhat: The Chief Minister laid the foundation and dedicated development works costing Rs 23.16 crore in Churhat Vidhan Sabha constituency. He announced the opening of ITI in Churhat on the occasion. Among those who took part in the programme were MP Prabhat Jha, Ajay Pratap Singh, Riti Pathak and Janardan Mishra, Chairman of Vindhya Development Authority Subhash Singh, other people’s representatives and a huge gathering.
