AITS donates generously to Kerala flood relief fund

In a attempt to give financial support to the people of Kerala suffering because of recent flood, the All India (Nagpur) Transport Sangh (AITS) recently handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.


The transporters gave cheque in the name of Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. R K Verma, President of the AITS, and other office-bearers and members handed over the cheque to the minister recently.


On the occasion, Verma said that it was a small contribution to help Kerala people overcome the losses caused due to the natural calamity that had crippled life of many parts of the coastal State. Gadkari appreciated the noble gesture of the transporters.


Also present on the occasion were Ratan Poddar, H L Nehra, Maniram Sharma, Shyam Sunder Agrawal, Sushil Agrawal, Pyare Khan, Dev Kumar, D B Singh, P C Bindal and Parvinder Singh Vij.
