Agriculture College inaugurated in Khurai

The public dedication of the Agriculture College at Khurai was held here recently. This college has been named as Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee Agriculture college.

The chief guest on the occasion was Home and Transport Minister Bhupendra Singh while Members of Parliament Bhupendra Singh presided over the function. The special guests on the occasion were Vice Chancellor, JNKVV, Jabalpur Dr Pradeep Kumar Bisen, Collector Alok Kumar Singh, Deputy Director, Agriculture AK Nema, Jinendra Kumar Gurha, Shailendra Pratap Singhm Indra Kumar Rai. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Singh said that this college would bring great changed in the area. this college would be opened in 127 acres area with cost of Rs 131 crores. New researches in field of agriculture would be done in this new college and hence students would be taught about new techniques, modern methods of farming. This all would lead to increase in agriculture production.

He informed gathering that Agro based Cluster has been approved at Dalpatpur. State government is working for betterment of education. At Shirodi and Ghorar, ‘Research Center’ would be opened. This is first Agriculture College at Sagar district. Beena River Project has started.

MP Yadav said that this is biggest gift for Khurai and continuous developmental works are being done in the area. this college would bring change in eth face of the area. he advised farmers for increasing their income by pursuing other agriculture based works.
