Demonstration, rallies mark ‘Nationwide Bandh’

Protesting against the SC/ST (Amendment) ordnance a large number of social and community organiations have stage protest, demonstration, taken out protest march and rally in support of Nationwide Bandh protest.


In this Member of Madhya Pradesh Pragatisheel Brahmin Mahasabha in association with the Lawyer Organisation and other social and community organisations staged protest, burnt copies of SC/ST (Amendment) Ordnance at Tehsil Square and taken out protest march passing through District Court, SP Office, Maal Godam Chowk, High Court Chowk and returned to Ambedkar Chowk at its starting point. During the rally protesting Lawyers raised slogans demanding resignation of Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan along with other public representatives of Jabalpur. The protesting lawyers also criticized the issue of reservation in promotions declared by Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.


At Ambedkar Chowk, Lawyers were assembled in large numbers and blocked the roads. Showing resentment against proposed amendment in SC/ST ordnance members of Mahasabhha, Lawyers set ablaze the copies of Ordnance.


A delegation of Mahadalit Gathbandhan also joined the protest led by Akhil Bharatiya Mahadalit Gathbandhan comprise of 52 castes, National President, Rameshwar Gautele given open support to the ongoing protest and said only few creamy layer people are availing benefits of reservation. Amongst Dalits the majority of 52 Mahadalit casts are not availing any benefits of reservation. SC/ST Act is creating division in the society and should be roll back immediately. The protest was led by Akhil Bharatiya Shree Bharhmin Mahasabha, National President and MP High Court Bar Association, President, Adarsh Muni Trivedi, ABBM, National General Secretary, Alok Mishra, MP Junior Lawyers Association, State Coordinator, Ashish Trivedi, former Secretary, Manish Tiwari, MPPBM, State President, Narendra Mishra, Aseem Trivedi, Apoorv Trivedi, Deepak Singh Rajput, Vipul Vardhan Jain, Shekhar Choubey, Gopal Singh, Shashank Shukla and others.


Various organisation representatives participated in protest rally includes Sarvajatiya Manch led by Omprakash Kushwaha, Jai Rewakhand Dugdh Utpadak Kisan Mahasangh, Banarasi Yadav, Manish Soni, Adhivakta Lipik Sangh, President, Devendra Tiwari, Parshuram Brahmin Sabha, Manjhi Samaj and others.


Akhil Bharatiya Shree Brahmin Mahasabha, National General Secretary, Pt Alok Mishra declared to protest against Promotion in Reservation and SC/ST Act a grand protet rally would be organised in coming weeks to be attended by Samanya, Other Backward Class, Mahadalit and Alpsankhayak Samudaya in Jabalpur.
