‘Bicycle sharing’ off to a great start

The Public Bicycle Sharing programme is off to a swift start with hundreds of riders, mostly students booking the eco-friendly bicycles. 

The Public Bicycle sharing scheme is being applauded by the youth of the city after the day it started. On the first day of the installation, 143 riders have booked the cycles, but fortunately on the next day 220 youths of the city availed the facility.

Before a couple of day this facility had been started by “Zoom Car” in the student hub area of the city.Under the activity 10 cycle stands have been made to encourage eco-friendly traffic facility with the support of “Zoom Car” in the youth hub area of the city which is been developed in between Pandit Ravi Shankar Shukla University and Anupam Garden.

To enjoy the facility a consumer needs to download the “Zoom Car” application through play store on his Android phone. After installing the android application the consumer needs to link his Paytm Wallet with the application to pay the rent of Rs. 3 per using the vehicle for 30 minutes, for unlocking the bicycle the consumer needs to scan the QR code on the application.

Currently Facilities made for such cycle stands are Anupam Garden, National library, Nalanda Parisar, 3 locations in the National institute of Technology campus and 4 locations in the PRSU campus.
