Chilly winds bring cold in Madhya Pradesh

Cold conditions have drawn strength in Bhopal and many other parts of State. People in Bhopal felt cold throughout the day on Wednesday. Minimum temperatures were substantially below normal in districts of Indore, Hoshangabad and Ujjain divisions. Minimum temperatures of districts situated in Sagar, Shahdol, Bhopal divisions also remained below normal level.

The lowest minimum temperature of 3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Betul. Chilly winds increased cold during day time in Bhopal. Therefore, cold haunted people throughout the day.
Weather Department told that temperatures have dropped as cold winds are sweeping the state. Bhopal shivered at minimum temperature of 7.6 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal level. Its maximum temperature was 22.3 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal.

Jabalpur battled cold as minimum temperature dropped to 7.4 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal. Maximum temperature was 22.4 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal. Gwalior shivered at minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius while Indore’s minimum temperature was 8.1 degrees Celsius.

As cold has increased, people are having tough time. It is round the clock that intense cold is forcing people to wear the warm clothes. On the contrary, intense cold has also come up with problems to people and children as they are catching up cold and throat infection. Even as cold has intensified owing to arrival of northerly cold winds but there is no chance of cold wave in state. Weather Department told that weather condition is going to remain for some more days and after this, there is possibility of rise in mercury level in state. Over all, maximum and minimum temperatures are below normal level everywhere in State.
