Last phase of Congress’ Jan Sangharsh Yatra from today

After visiting all major cities in Nagpur Division, the yatra to return to the second capital on January 13

Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) will start the last phase of ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’ in Nagpur Division from January 10.  Nagpur City Congress Committee chief Vikas Thakre, in a press release, stated that the yatra participants will pay obeisance to Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Deekshabhoomi at 10 am.

Vikas Thakre, City President, while briefing party workers about the yatra, said, “The yatra will start from Nagpur after visiting Deekshabhoomi, Tajbagh and Ganesh Tekadi on Thursday. It will resume its onward journey from Samvidhan Square. MPCC chief Ashok Chavan, Leader of Opposition in Assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, former Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, senior leaders Manikrao Thakre, Naseem Khan, former Union Minister of State Vilas Muttemwar, City President Vikas Thakre and Nagpur District President Rajendra Mulak will be present in the rally.”

The yatra will leave for Kamptee. Former Minister of State Rajendra Mulak will welcome the yatra at Kamptee. The yatra will pass through Ramtek, Tumsar, and Tiroda on Thursday. The yatra will reach Amgaon, Sadak Arjuni on January 11. It will reach Bhandara, Chimur, Warora, and Chandrapur on January 12. The yatra, after visiting Gadchiroli and Bramhapuri, will reach Nagpur on January 13. It will conclude at Police Line Takli ground at 5 pm.
MPCC has invited Mallikarjun Kharge, In-charge of Maharashtra and Congress leader in Lok Sabha, Chief Ministers trio -- Kamal Nath (Madhya Pradesh), Ashok Gehlot (Rajasthan) and Bhupesh Baghel (Chhattisgarh).

Former Minister Anees Ahmed also conducted a meeting at Mominpura to mobilise party workers for the yatra. MPCC Secretary Atul Kotecha, corporators Zulfikar Bhutto, Sayyeda Begum, Asha Uikey, Zishan Mumtaz and Block Congress Committee president Gopal Pattam also were present. Anees Ahmed urged party workers to participate in the yatra in large number to support Congress in coming elections.
