The civic body has completed 39 cement roads of total length 32.41 kms in different parts of the city. However, the construction work is still incomplete as I-blocks work on the shoulders of the roads is yet to finish by the contractors on several roads. The heap of I-blocks visible everywhere on the roads causing problem to the smooth flow of traffic. NMC also opened one side traffic on 8 different under construction roads.

The NMC has claimed that the construction of Ring Road from Mangalmurti Square to Sheetala Mata temple, RPTS road from Madhav Nagar Square to West High Court road, South Ambazari road from Mate Square to Ambazari T point, Park road from Mahatama Gandhi School T point to LAD College, Medical College to Ashok Square on Untkhana road, Mokshadham road is complete. The construction of cement road between Mate Square to Ambazari road is still going on near BSNL office but NMC claimed that they have completed the work. Similarly, on Medical Square to Ashok Square, the road is open for traffic but construction
work is yet to finish. The Mokshadham flyover and road upto Mokshadham square is complete but the incomplete work of I-block and ramp are posing danger to the vehicular traffic.

The civic engineers have constructed cement roads above the level of 10-15 cms from the present tar-roads. However, the approaching ramps of the roads constructed unscientifically that is a root cause of accidents of senior citizens, women and youths. The non-functional streetlights added additional risk over these incomplete stretches of cement roads. Due to uneven surfaces and incomplete cement roads, the problems of spine, ankle, spondylitis increased due to jerks while passing through the roads.
