Shop selling fake LED TVs raided, owner held

Hanumanganj police have seized as many as 20 duplicate LED televisions of a top electronic brand on Wednesday which were available for sale in the Nadra bus stand area at Hamidia Road. These television sets were having the logo of a big brand-Panasonic company and these television rates were being sold at half the original price in the market in name of heavy discount offers.


A team of Delhi Company visited the city and after finding that the sets are not original products but instead are Chinese sets, they filed a complaint with Hanumanganj police station.
A case was thus filed against the Ajanta electronics showroom located at Hamidia road and these sets were seized.


SHO Chain Singh said that only one person named Saurabh Soni who is owner of showroom has been arrested and around
one-and-a-half dozen duplicate LED TV sets worth Rs 1 lakh has been seized.  The police is yet to calculate the amount of profit made by the electronic shop owner till now by selling duplicate TVs to
customers.
