Ramkrushna Belurkar no more

Ramkrushna Motiram Belurkar, scholar of Gramgeeta, died due to old age at Warud on Thursday afternoon. He was 89. 

Belurkar was born at Warkhed in Amravati District. He was the first Gramgeeta Acharya. He has campaigned for Gramgeeta all over India after Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj. He established many Gurudev Seva Mandals all over Maharashtra. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj inspired him to take up wrestling. He also started a vyayamshala and library at his native place at Warkhed and also has started Manav Vikas Dnyan Sadhana Shram at Talegaon (Shyamjipant) in Wardha district. He was in service of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj right since he was 10.

His mortal remains will be kept for darshan at his native place Warkhed on Friday morning while last rites will be performed at Manav Vikas Dnyan Sadhanshram at Talegaon (Shyamjipant) at 1 pm. He leaves behind a son and a daughter and host of family members to mourn the loss. His demise has spread grief among the Gurudev Parivar all over Maharashtra.
