Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to visit Comp-Ex today

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be visiting the Comp-Ex exhibition being held here at St Ursula Girls’ High School Ground, opposite old VCA Stadium, Civil Lines. He will visit the expo on January 12 at 5.30 pm.

The 27th edition of Comp-Ex which got underway on January 10, has already started experiencing a huge surge of visitors with many buyers who are being offered better deals in computers, laptops etc., much cheaper than online retailers with an assured after sales services which is generally difficult to get with online shopping. Special counter for live demo of VVPAT system

Comp-Ex visitors are getting unique opportunity to see Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trial (VVPAT) system. Apart from this they can also make Aadhar card in the expo as special arrangments are being made for the citizens.

Special counters have been created for it. The major and latest initiative of the Government and the Election Commission, being showcased with live demo at Comp-Ex, to further revolutionise the transparency, verifiability and tamper-proof functioning of EVMs in voting is the Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trial system.

VVPAT is an independent system that allows voters to verify their votes as they have cast.
