Young Scientists convention from Feb 28

Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRS) in association with Chhattisgarh Science & Technical Council will organise a convention of Young Scientists from February 28 to March 1.  Organising Committee President Dr Kallol Ghosh and Coordinator Professor Manas Kanti Deb informed that Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology promotes young talents by organising Chhattisgarh Young Scientists Congress.

February 28, 1928 was the day when renowned Scientist Sir Chandrasekhar Venkat Raman had discovered the Raman Effect and won the coveted Noble Prize for Physics for the discovery in 1930.  Organizing committee has invited research papers from Government/Non-Government Agriculture, Engineering, Medical, and Science Colleges.

Research papers are invited in the following disciplines: Agriculture Science, Agriculture Engineering/Technology, Biology (Botany, Zoology, Chemical Biology), Chemical Sciences, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (Geology, Geography, Meteorology, Oceanography), Chemical Engineering, Computer Sciences/Electronics,/Information Technology/Instrumentation etc, Civil & Architecture Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical/Mechatronics & Production Engineering, Environmental Sciences/Engineering & Forestry, Home Science & Behavioural Science (Psychology), Life Sciences (Bioscience, Microbiology and Anthropology etc), Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physics (Bio-Physics, and Geophysics, Astrophysics, Nuclear Physics etc), Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Technology, Mining, Metallurgy and Applied Geology.

Incentives to the awardees: A certificate with a cash prize of Rs 21,000. Single visit shall be provided for pursuing his/her research work in any National Laboratory/Research Centre/Recognized University engaged in advanced research in India for two months duration. Awardees will be eligible for TA/DA during their stay in research establishment as per the norms of the Council. He/she has to avail the facility within two years of the receiving the award.

Researcher should also submit the abstract and full paper in soft copy through e-mail to [email protected] otherwise it will not appear in the Abstract Book.
Eligibility criteria for participation: author should be below 32 years for male and 35 years for female on February 29, 2019, Research experience of two years after obtaining post-graduate degree in the science subjects listed above or bachelor’s degree in case of medical/engineering/technology subjects is the basic requirements, original research paper with single authorship will be acceptable, the work should have been carried out in the state of Chhattisgarh and not presented/published elsewhere is essential requirement, awardees of previously held Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress shall not be eligible for the participation for a period of three years from the date of last Award. Authors have also been warned that the committee will conduct through checking on plagiarism and plagiarised research paper will be summarily rejected.
