Vande Mataram row: BJYM members burn CM’s effigy

BHARATIYA Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members burnt effigy of Chief Minister Kamal Nath after he asked to discontinue the tradition of reciting national song Vande Mataram at Government Departments at Malviya Chowk on Wednesday.
BJYM members in presence of Bharatiya Janata Party city chief G S Thakur and former Minister Sharad Jain burnt the effigy of CM Kamal Nath and opposed ban on recitation of national song.

They informed that all the officers and employees in Government departments recited national song Vande Mataram on first of every month.  Yuva Morcha, City President, Ranjit Patel informed that the decision of Madhya Pradesh Government reflects intentions of CM Kamal Nath of making Madhya Pradesh peaceful as Kerala and West Bengal.

He charged that the pace of development has been derailed since formation of Congress Government in the State. Ban on recital of national song clearly indicates narrow-mindedness of CM Kamal Nath. During the protest, Rajesh Mishra, Rajnish Yadav, Kamlesh Agrawal, Kake Anand, Ashwini Paranjpe, Raj Bhatnagar, Pranit Verma, Santosh Raikwar, Titu Sonkar, Rohit Jain, Livish Patel, Abhishek Pal and a large number of Yuva Morcha members were present.
