Cyber cops nab Vidisha resident for duping many

STATE Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur succeeded in apprehending accused of duping several persons in the name of partnership in his business by depositing money in bank accounts and PayTM Wallet. The accused has been identified as Ashish Chaturvedi, a resident of Ganjbasoda in Vidisha district. State Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur, Inspector, Hariom Dixit informed this while addressing a press conference on Saturday. Under the direction of Special Director General of Police (Cyber) Aruna Mohan Rao and Additional Director General of Police Rajesh Gupta, State Cyber Police started a special campaign under supervision of Superintendent of Police, State Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur, Sudip Goinka. Inspector, Hariom Dixit informed that during the campaign a resident of Jabalpur filed a written complaint that a man named Ashish Chaturvedi allured him to give handsome commission for investment in his business. Lured with high commission rate, he deposited Rs 5 lakh in the bank account and PayTM Wallet of Ashish Chaturvedi.

Acting on the complaint, State Cyber Police Zone Jabalpur registered a case under Sections 419, 420, 120B of the IPC and Section 66D of the IT Act. Cyber Police started investigations into the case and collected details of bank accounts and PayTM Wallet registered in the name of Ashish Chaturvedi.

Once the information was confirmed, Cyber Police succeeded in apprehending the accused. During interrogation, the accused confessed to have duped the appellant. The accused was apprehended with active efforts of police team led by Inspector Hariom Dixit comprising Sub-Inspector Shweta Singh, Sub-Inspector Hemant Pathak, constables Satish Chandrol and Ajit Gautam.
