Lawyers ask Congress Govt to fulfill demands before 31st or face ire

Congress in its election agenda had assured to clear Advocates Protection Act and other long-awaited demands

If the demands are not met then the advocates will stage protest

“THE then Bharatiya Janata Party Government had brought Bill to implement Advocates Protection Act which could not be passed. Now, the Congress Government has also assured advocates in its election agenda to fulfill their long-awaited demands.


Advocates have given ultimatum to the State Government to fulfill their demands before January 31 or else they will stage protest,” informed President of Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council by Shivendra Upadhyay, while addressing a press conference, on Saturday. Addressing the press conference, State Bar Council member R K Saini and Radhelal Gupta informed that Congress in its election agenda had assured to clear Advocates Protection Act and other demands like death claim amount, medical assistance amount and amount of new advocates.

They informed that Chief Minister Kamal Nath is working towards fulfilling all the commitments made in the Vachan Patra. Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council Vice-President Dinesh Narayan Pathak, Treasurer Jitendra Sharma, members, Bhoopnarayan Singh, Jaiprakash Mishra and others have made an appeal to Chief Minister Kamal Nath to fulfill their pending demands on first day of Assembly session on January 7.
