Mohit Sharma of NIT Raipur secures 95.25 percentile in CAT

Mohit Sharma, Sameer Tiwari of National Institute Technology (NIT) Raipur and Prashasti Sharma from BIT Raipur among other candidates from Chhattisgarh who have cleared the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2018 with higher percentile.
Results of CAT were announced on Saturday evening.
According to information, NIT final year student Mohit Sharma
passed the CAT18 with 99.25 percentile while Sameer Tiwari, who had passed out from NIT Raipur last year, cleared the examination with 98.07 percentile.


Similarly, Prashasti Sharma got 81 percentile in the CAT18. Another successful candidate from the state is Abhinav Kumar who secured 92.06 percentile. All the four successful students had been preparing for the CAT18 at PT Raipur Miracles.
It is to be mentioned, Abhinav Kumar is working in Indian Oil while Sameer Tiwari is working in a Hyderabad based company.


According to PT Raipur Miracles director Shyam Verma, a general candidate securing  96 per cent or above may get call from IIM Raipur. Similarly, a candidate from SC/ST categories securing 75 percentile or above may get the call from the IIM,he said.


Talking to The Hitavada, Prashasti said, “I am not expecting a call from any IIM or IITs after securing 81 percentile in the CAT18. But there are some chances of receiving call from some NITs which are offering MBA courses. In case I fail to get a call from NIT then I will go for renowned private business schools in Hyderabad and Bangalore like cities.” About her coaching, Prashasti said that she had joined PT Raipur Miracles in January 2017 for CAT preparations. “It was my preparations under the able guidance of PT teachers which brought me success,” said Prashasti.
