Trials conducted for All India Civil Services Sports

Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare had conducted trials for the selection of Carrom, Chess and Table Tennis (TT) teams for All India Civil Services Sports Championships 2018-19. While Chess and Carrom trials were conducted at the Directorate on Friday, TT trial was conducted at Sapre School TT Hall.  As many as 45 government officials/employees from 13 districts of the state had participated in the Carrom trial and 66 officials/employees from 18 districts had participated in the chess trial while 26 officials/employees has participated in the TT trial.


While men and women’s teams of the state civil services will participate in the All India Championship, 7 male players
will participate in the chess  championship.
After the Central Civil Services Board announces the dates of these championships, a seven-day  camp will be organised for the selected players of the state  before their departure for the championship.


The official/employees participated in the Chess trial are Tikaram Dewangan, Abdul Shamim Quraishi, Sesh Ratan Jaiswal, Rashidh Rasid, Roshan Lal Kumbhrani, Hitesh Das Manikpuri, Ashok Kumar Patel, M R Agar,  Vivek Kumar Dwivedi, Roshan Prasad Sidar, Ishwar Patel, Sunil Kumar Sahu, Krishna Chandra Bharti, Jayant Kumar, Santosh Sonkar, Santosh Kumar Nirala, Parwati Tigga, Nagendra Dewangan, Ashok Kumar Kaiwartya, Ramjeevan Prasad, Chhagalal Sahu, Manish Sharma, Bipin Bharadwaj and Sameer Upadhyay.
