Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) industrial federation National Organisation of Bank Workers’ (NOBW) will not participate in January 8 and 9, proposed bank strike called by left affiliated bank unions All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI). Since, BMS is not participating in above strike, NOBW and its affiliated bank unions of public sector banks, private sector banks, regional rural banks and co-operative banks will not join the same strike.

It is a political motivated strike and not concerned with the issues of banks employees. Out of nine banks unions of United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) only AIBEA and BEFI two banks unions have given the strike call on January 8 and 9.

United Forum of Banks Unions (UFBU) already went on strike two times in the year 2018 against merger of public sector banks and for the demand of wage revision, informs a press release issued by Ashwani Rana, Vice-President of NOBW.
