CG’s 3 Anganbadi workers get National Award for their work

Three Anganbadi workers from Chhattisgarh bagged National Awards on Monday for effective implementation of various services. The three women workers include Premlata Chakresh from district Jashpur, Meena Verma from district Durg and Poonam Beenjhwar from district Korba.


Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi gave away the coveted National Awards to these Anganbadi workers at a function held in India Habitat Center at New Delhi. The Anganbadi workers were awarded for better implementation of nutritious meal scheme, immunisation and informal education projects and other services.


Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes all the three Anganbadi workers, who were felicitated with National Awards. Expressing his happiness, Baghel said that this achievement by these workers will act as encouragement to other Anganbadi workers.
