Panagar cops crack blind murder mystery of boy

Panagar police have solved the blind murder mystery of a boy and succeeded in apprehending four accused, including an adolescent boy. The boy was thrown into a canal in unconscious condition to hide the fact of theft at a biscuit factory by his own mates.

The accused have been identified as Pramod Kushwaha (28), son of Kallu Kushwaha, resident of Vinoba Bhave Ward, Panagar, Raja Kushwaha (18), son of Suraj Kushwaha of Kacchiyana Mohalla in Panagar, Saurabh Sen (30), resident of Arjun Sen of Kacchiyana Mohalla and a 16-year-old boy of Kacchiyana Mohalla, Panagar. Additional SP (City), Deepak Kumar Shukla (IPS) disclosed this while addressing a press conference, on Monday.

It may be noted that, on August 12, a man named Purushottam Patel, resident of village Paula in Majholi, lodged a complaint at Ranjhi police station that his son named Vinay Patel (22) working at Parle Biscuit Factory in Ricchai was missing. Ranjhi police had registered a complaint of missing person and started a search for missing boy. On August 13, a man named Vinod Kol (40), resident of village Jalgaon, informed to Panagar police that the body of an unidentified person was found in a canal. Police team reached the spot and started investigation to identify the body and reason behind his death. Police had identified the body of Vinay Kumar Patel with the help of his relatives.

Investigating the case, police learnt that the deceased Vinay Patel was working with his friend named Pramod Kushwaha at biscuit factory. Pramod made a plan of stealing and selling of biscuit cartons from the factory. As per plan, on August 11, 2018, Pramod Kushwaha and Vinay Patel along with Raja Kushwaha, Saurabh Sen and 16-year-old boy, stole biscuit cartons from the factory and were transporting the cartons through a farm when Vinay Patel came in contact with a live electricity wire at a farm of Prahlad and lost his consciousness. Instead of taking Vinay to hospital for treatment, his accomplices took him on a motorcycle numbered MP-20MN-8278 and threw him into a canal in village Jalgaon to hide the fact of theft. Acting on the evidences, Panagar police arrested the accused and registered a case against them under sections 302, 201 and 34 of the IPC.
