CG artists enthrall during ‘Bharat Parv’

On the occasion of ‘Bharat Parv’, being celebrated at Red Fort in the National Capital, folk artists from Chhattisgarh stole the show with their performances on Chhattisgarh Folk Lore.

The presentations by folk artists from Chhattisgarh based on the folk art, culture and tradition from Chhattisgarh mesmerised the people from different parts of the country and abroad, who had gathered at Red Fort to watch the extravaganza called ‘Bharat Parv’.

The presentations were given by a 20-member cultural troupe from Ahiwara in Durg district who represented Chhattisgarh during the programme ‘Lok Dharohar’.

The presentations commenced with performance based on Sant Kabir’s Dohe followed by Jasgeet, Sua dance, Gaura-Gauri dance, Panthi dance, Raut Nacha as well as Rilo and Prahasan. Present on the occasion was Ritu Sain, Additional Residential Commissioner, Chhattisgarh.

On the occasion, the Chhattisgarh contingent had also established food stall as well as stalls selling handicrafts and handloom items.
