Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE), Raipur, has issued show cause notice to the principals of several schools across the state for failing to guide their students properly during the submission of examination forms for high school and higher secondary school certificate examinations 2019. According to information, the CGBSE has cancelled 170 applications submitted for high school certificate examination (regular) and 677 applications submitted for the higher secondary school certificate examination (regular).

CGBSE Secretary Professor V K Goyal said, on Thursday, that the students, whose applications were cancelled, were informed via SMS and also the lists of these students are uploaded on the CGBSE website www.cgbse.nic.in.

The reason behind the cancellation of examination forms is that almost all the students had failed to clear their respective high school and higher secondary school certificate examinations for two consecutive years. As per the prescribed rules, such students are no more eligible for appearing for the examinations as regular students, said the CGBSE Secretary, adding, these students can now submit their forms for the private examinations 2019, last date of which is February 5, 2019.

The Secretary said that the students should have been guided thoroughly by their respective schools during the process of filing of examination forms which did not happen. Therefore, the principals of the concerned schools have been sought explanation on the matter at the earliest through show cause notices, said the Secretary. The Secretary said that there will be no second chance for the students after February 5.
