India International Travel Exhibition begins

THE India International Travel Exhibition (IITE), one of the premier travel and tourism exhibitions of the country will be organised at South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Civil Lines from January 1 to 3.

The timings will be from 11.30 am to 8 pm. This was revealed by Anurag Gupta, Director of IITE, Bangaluru while speaking at a press conference on Thursday. Also, present were Shradha Pathak, Corporator and Deepak Joshi of IITE.

“IITE is a premier event showcasing the best from the travel, tourism, Railway, hospitality and other related industries. The three day travel exhibition will focus on international and domestic tourist destinations, hotels, resorts and other allied services. National and international tour operators and national affiliated service providers will also be present,” Gupta said.

The exhibition will have 58 stalls from various parts of the country. Maharashtra will the Partner State along with other State tourism organisation and private players like Whitestone Holidays, Nepal, Excursia Tours, Starwood Vacations, Prakash Tours and Travels, Jungle, Mango Holidays, Neel Infratech, Rush Holidays, Arabica Orient, Oman, Homeruz Hotel, Muscat, Tadoba Tiger Valley Resort, Club Mahindra, Maheshwari Group of Hotels and Resorts, Bharath Tours and Travels, Vraksh Resort, Pench, Zahgeer Group of Hotels, Travel Darbar, Grt Water Solutions Pvt Ltd, Travel Tours, Sona Travels, Horizon Holidays, Department of Travel and Tourism Government Polytechnic, West Bengal Tourism, Himachal Tourism, Telangana Tourism, Jharkhand Tourism, Cox and Kings, Kerala Tourism, Thomas Cook, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) etc., and hotels and resorts from different parts of the country showcasing their products and properties. Participants will display and provide information of their destinations, holiday, travel, tour packages and other services, Gupta said.

“The basic purpose of holding the event is to boost tourism both domestic and international. We believe that the inflow of domestic and outbound tourism will increase in coming months and Nagpur will play a vital role in promotion of tourism. Our main aim is to explore tourism potential and spread awareness among the people. We are creating a one stop shop for three days for the consumers to pickup destinations of their interest,” he added.

Entry to the exhibition will be free of cost. The organisers are anticipating huge turnout.
