MSME-DI, Nagpur has organised awareness programme/vendor development programme with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Mumbai. The main objective was to search vendors for them under the Public Procurement Policy which has been announced by Government for growth, development and promotion of MSEs.

Under the policy, it is mandatory for the CPSUs to procure minimum 25 per cent of their purchases from MSEs. The main aim is to reduce the cost of products and benefit MSEs as well as CPSUs.

The programme provided golden opportunity for MSEs to become suppliers to CPSUs like IOCL. The programme received overwhelming response from existing entrepreneurs of Vidarbha. The distinguished guests of the programme were Sunil Garg, Chief General Manager, IOCL, Mumbai and presided over by P M Parlewar, Director of MSME-DI, Nagpur. R. Jayan, General Manager of IOCL, R.
