Teachers show Chhattisgarh’s arts and culture in New Delhi

Chhattisgarh’s arts and culture showcased in its full glory in New Delhi by the teachers of the state on Saturday. Teachers gave the presentation while attending Orientation Course at Cultural Resource and Training Centre.

Representing the Chhattisgarh, teachers as Mitanjali Mahanti from Samoda, Ramji Nishad from Kanki Tilda, Kanchanlata Yadav from Kurur Abhanpur, and Rakesh Nishad from Kuliya Mahasamund shed light on the state’s art and culture, saying Chhattisgarhi language is very sweet and captivating whereas the culture is extremely rich and profuse with traditional folksongs and folkdances like Sua, Panthi, Raut Nacha, Pandwani, Bharthari Gaatha, Chher Chhera Geet, Devar Geet, Karma Dance, Faag Geet etc. Festivals such as Teeja, Pola, Kamarchhath, Chher Chhera, Hareli, Gauri-Gaura, Akti, Dev Uthni makes the state culturally rich. Also, the  traditional dresses and local cuisines as well as the various tribes of Chhattisgarh were exhibited through power point presentation.
