‘Govt-owned insurance cos should be competitive’

NITIN Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation was felicitated by the National Federation of Insurance Field Workers (NFIFWI) for his efforts to support the cause of the Federation.  Replying to his felicitation, Gadkari said, “Government owned insurance companies should frame policies with commercial angle to be competitive”. Regional Manager Prasad Dasgupta and Senior Divisional Manager Mukeshchandra Joshi were present on the occasion.

Earlier in the morning the two-day mega training seminar was inaugurated by former Member of Parliament Datta Meghe and Sudhir Parve, MLA, Umred by garlanding the photo of Bhausaheb Kalvit.  On the occasion Chief Convenor of ‘Insurance Ka Mahakumbh’ Deepak Moghe stressed the need for training the agents to survive in cut throat competition.

On the first day of the two day training seminar, Aman Chugh, financial market expert enlightened agents about changing economic landscape of the country and changing role of insurance advisor. In the second session, TOT Agent from Mumbai R K Shetty stressed the importance of consistency and hard work to achieve MDRT status.  In the third session, TOT agent Punjab Singh gave various practical tips to serve the clients in order to achieve professionalism.

The programme was well compared by Ashutosh Adoni. President of the organisation Vinayak Kusare, Aniruddha Gomekar, Vivek Pachkhede, Keshav Motghare, Amit Bhalave, Harkesh Hir, Mitali Sarkar, Gyanendra Sevak and Milind Kasulkar worked hard to make the event successful. Large number of people attended the event.
