‘Institutions pivotal in institutionalising quality, results-oriented education’

Chief Minister was speaking while inaugurating new academic buildings at the PM College of Excellence Govt Mahakoshal Autonomous Leading College and the Government Science College
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav underscored the State Government's commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure and fostering a quality-oriented learning environment during the inauguration of new academic buildings at the PM College of Excellence Government Mahakoshal Autonomous Leading College and the Government Science College in Jabalpur, during his recent visit.
The Chief Minister inaugurated the new academic building at the Prime Minister College of Excellence, constructed at a cost of Rs. 13.37 crore and the new facility at the Government Science College, built for Rs. 10.05 crore. During the event, which also included the felicitation of meritorious students, Dr Yadav emphasized that the government's objective extends beyond mere construction to providing a better educational environment and modern facilities.
He stated that educational institutions are pivotal in institutionalising quality and results-oriented education, not just issuing mark sheets.
Chief Minister, Dr Yadav paid tribute to the cultural and historical significance of the Mahakoshal region, highlighting the blessings of the Narmada River and the valor of historical figures Rani Durgavati and Rani Avantibai.
In recognition of their sacrifices, he announced the decision to hold his first cabinet meeting in Jabalpur and reiterated the launch of the Rani Durgavati Shrianna Protsahan Yojana for procurement of Kodo-Kutki at Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The Chief Minister also inaugurated ‘Dada Ki Pathshala’, a new initiative that will offer free preparation for competitive examinations to students.
Reaffirming the government's dedication to urban development, Dr Yadav pledged continued efforts for the systematic progress of Jabalpur.
He also fondly recalled the contributions of the late former Assembly Speaker, Ishwardas Rohani to the region's development.
He also remembered Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose for his larger than the life personality and contributions for the sake of Mother India.
Discussing the New National Education Policy (NEP), Dr Yadav positioned it as a significant reform under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's leadership,
designed to make education employment-oriented and equip youth with vocational skills.
The Chief Minister asserted that the NEP is a major step towards realizing a self-reliant and proud nation by generating ample employment opportunities.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister urged the youth to actively participate in strengthening democracy, citing Prime Minister Modi's journey as an inspiration that dedication and hard work can overcome any challenge.
He encouraged the adoption of the fundamental mantra of Swadeshi to build a developed India.
Recalling the nation’s unified response to COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Yadav lauded India's rapid development of a vaccine and its commitment to global well-being, stating that these values must be reflected in the country's educational system.
MLA Ashok Rohani acknowledged the Chief Minister's long-standing commitment to the college, noting that the building's foundation stone was
laid during his previous
tenure as Higher Education Minister.
Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, MP Rajya Sabha, Sumitra Balmik, MLA, Ashok Rohani, MLA, Dr Abhilash Pandey, MLA, Neeraj Singh and Santosh Warkade and dignitaries were present at the ceremony.
