CADETS of Bhonsala Military School dominated the School-Level Boxing Tournament at the Indoor Hall of Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur. The tournament was organised by District Sports Office.
Among 29 students who participated in the competition, 27 boxers clinched medals in various weight categories, finishing with 19 gold, seven silver and a bronze medal.
In Under-14 age category, Aryan Thombre, Laksh Kharkar, Harshit Bhoyar, Jagrut Singh and Krish Radke won the gold medal. Atharva Majumdar, Daksh Vidpi and Nayan Gohane settled for silver and Rujal Mankar secured a bronze.
Vansh Sahi, Rohit Khairwar, Prem Harad, Punyashlok Jailepatil, Bharat Shende, Naitik Pawar, Vedant Madhumatke, Arjun Pakar and Aarush Ujone bagged gold medals in Under-17 category, while Rajdeep Rawal managed a silver.
In Under-19, gold medals were won by Mohan Kongere, Sumit Bandebuche, Om Haldar, Rushikesh Thakre and Devis Sahu.
Silver medals were clinched by Vivek Narnaware, Kushal Wadibhasme and Dhruv Godkhande.
The gold medallist of different categories will now be participating in the Divisional-Level Championship.
The boxers coached by Subedar Jagdish Dighe and Nitesh Patle. School Commandant Colonel Amarendra Hardas, Head Master Ajay Shikre and the entire school staff congratulated the winners and wished them luck for the divisional level competition.
