President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two day visit to Raipur on October 25 and 26, where she will participate in a series of events in Raipur and Durg districts. As per the official itinerary, the President will arrive at Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, at 11:10 am on October 25 via a special flight. Her first engagement will be at AIIMS Raipur, where she will be the Chief guest at the second convocation ceremony, scheduled from 11:45 amto 12:45 pm. Following this, she will reach Raj Bhavan at 1 pm. Later, at 3:20 pm, President Murmu will attend the 14th convocation of NIT Raipur as the Chief guest. Subsequently, she will proceed to Purkhauti Muktangan, where she will distribute funds under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana between 5:15 pm and 6:00 pm.

 

This scheme, run by the Chhattisgarh government, provides Rs. 1,000 per month to 70 lakh women in State. During her visit to Purkhauti Muktangan, the President will also interact with members of the tribal community. At 6:30 pm, she will return to Raj Bhavan, where her evening schedule includes a reserved slot from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, followed by dinner and rest. On October 26, President Murmu will leave Raj Bhavan at 9:00 am to visit the Jagannath Temple in Gayatri Nagar, Raipur, for darshan and aarti. She will then depart for Bhilai by helicopter, where she will be the Chief guest at the fourth convocation of IIT Bhilai from 11:05 am to 12:00 pm. Later, she will return to Raipur and attend a felicitation banquet at the Chief Minister’s office in Nava Raipur. Later, at 3:30 pm, she will the third convocation of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Health Science and Ayush University in Nava Raipur as the Chief guest. Her visit will conclude at 5:00 pm when she departs for New Delhi by a special flight from Raipur Airport. 

 

 

Governor Ramen Deka reviewed the preparations at Raj Bhavan for the two-day visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Chhattisgarh. He urged the officers and staff to carry out their assigned duties with utmost responsibility. It may be mentioned that President Murmu will be staying at Raj Bhavan during her visit on October 25 and 26. Governor Deka was briefed on the arrangements made by Raj Bhavan for the visit. Present at the review were Secretary to the Governor Yashwant Kumar, Legal Advisor Bhishma Prasad Pandey, Joint Secretary Hina Animesh Netam, along with other officers and staff of Raj Bhavan. 

 

An air traffic advisory has been issued for air travellers in connection with the proposed two-day visit of the President of India to Raipur on October 25 and 26. In light of President’s visit, air passengers are advised to reach Mana Airport two hours before their scheduled flight time to avoid any inconvenience due to security protocols during the VVIP visit. For passengers flying from Mana Airport on October 25 between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm, parking arrangements have been made at the old terminal to facilitate smoother travel.
