ON THE auspicious occasion of
Shardeeya Navaratri, a large crowd of
devotees is gathering at the Mata
Mangala Gauri temple.
Standing in long queues, they are seen
offering prayers to the divine Jyoti Kalash,
seeking their desired blessings. Since
the first day of Navaratri, there has been
a particularly noticeable influx of unmarried girls, young men and their families.

Shankaracharya Ashram,
noted that during
Shardeeya Navaratri,
special programmes are
being organized, including the Shat Chandi
Yagya.
Each day, learned
Brahmins perform 108
Shri Durga Saptsati Path
and make 108 offerings.
Daily recitations include
Shri Sukta, Kanak Dhara,
Durga Sahastra Naam,
Hanuman Chalisa, Ram
Raksha Stotra, Aditya
Hridaya, and Devi
Bhagwat. Besides, Rudrabhishek, Shiv
Path and the chanting of the Maha
Mrityunjaya Mantra are also performed
every day at the esteemed Lord Shri
Chandramaulishwar Mahadev Temple.
This Navaratri also features a Mata Seva
singing competition every night at the
temple, showcasing songs from nearby
villages. Devotees can enjoy free
Bhandara and accommodation at the
Ashram. A Mangal Jwara has also been
established within the temple grounds,
providing relief to those who seek its
blessings.
