RABBANI Club, Kamptee kept their title hopes alive in the ongoing Dr Nitin Raut Football Tournament after they beat South East Central Railway on Monday.
Three goals in the first half made it an easy win for Rabbani who recorded a 3-1 victory at SECRSA ground in Motibag.
The railmen managed to half Rabbani for 30 minutes but Mustajab’s strike in the 31st minute opened the gap in SECR defence.
Four minutes later, Mohammad Owais doubled the lead and in the 38th minute Mohammad Rizwan increased the gulf.
SECR pulled one back in the 48th through Nirmal Munda’s goal.
In an another match, Al Fateh got the better of Nagpur Sporting 4-2 via tie breaker after both the teams were unable to score in the regulation time.
Tanveer-ul Islam, Amir Anjum, Shadab Ahemad and Sufiyan scored for Al Fateh while for Sporting, Abu Sufiyan and Md Faizan scored.
In another one-sided match, Young Muslim Football Club thrashed IFFC Chankapur 5-1.
Yash Shukla scored a brace in the 10th and 45th minute while Sargil Nadim (27th), Shubham Dyema (30th min) and Mohammad Yasin (60th) too managed to score a goal each.
For IFFC Chankapur, Tanmay Khande had given them the lead in the 6th minute but that was the only time they celebrated in the match.
