FIFTEEN-member team of Gujarat police, during its tour to Chhattisgarh, visited Bhilai on Tuesday October 4, 2024, under Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) programme. While in Bhilai, their first destination was the office of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Durg Police Range,
Ram Gopal Garg.
Gujarat police team members met IGP Garg, who briefed them with regard to their tour to State, activities and on various other aspects.
Gujarat Police team is consisting of a Sub-inspector (SI), an Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI), three Head Constables and ten Constables.
EBSB programme promotes national integration and cultural exchange between the different states and union territories of India. Under the Central Government’s initiative a team of Chhattisgarh police is also on Gujarat tour.
During the tour the team will learn about the prevailing law and order situation and policing along with work culture for apt coordination between the police officials and personnel of Chhattisgarh and Gujrat. Panik Ram Kujur, Dy SP, IGP office, Bhilai apprised Gujarat police team members regarding the working of the range office and the districts under the office. Gujarat police team was also apprised about tourist places, local cultural, neighbouring states etc.
