CM Yadav hints at increasing incentive amount while transferring Nov installment

While transferring the November installment of Rs 1,573 crore to 1.29 crore women of the State on Saturday under Ladli Bahna Yojana, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav signalled on increasing the incentive amount in the coming time. At the event, he also transferred Rs 333 crore to the accounts of 55 lakh beneficiaries of social security pension and Rs 55 crore for gas cylinder refill to the accounts of 26 lakh ‘Ladli’ sisters.
As per information, this amount was transferred under the Shaurya Veera program organised for ‘Veerangana’ daughters on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya. On this occasion, for the first time in the country, a world record programme of mass swordsmanship demonstration by thousands of girls and women together, at one time, at one place was also organised. Ladli Bahna Yojana is a big initiative to discharge social responsibility. Under this scheme, initially, every woman was given Rs 1,000 per month. After this, this amount was increased to Rs 1,250 per month. This amount will be increased further.
Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said that the State Government is giving another gift to women to promote them. Giving information about the recent decision, he said that women will now get 35 percent reservation instead of 33 per cent in Government services. This will be a big step towards women empowerment. He said that Madhya Pradesh is setting a new milestone in the direction of women empowerment. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also announced 33 percent reservation for women in elections.
The Chief Minister emphasised that the state has a glorious history of women empowerment. Many brave women of the state have made important contributions in protecting the self-respect and independence of the country. “India’s pride in the field of women empowerment is known to the world.
Women empowerment is the special identity of our country. We are moving rapidly in the direction of women empowerment. Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana 2023 is being operated in the direction of women empowerment in the state. This scheme is an important step taken towards economic self-reliance of the women of the State,
continuous improvement in their health and nutrition level and strengthening their role in family decisions,” he said.
Further, the Chief Minister mentioned that arrangements are being made by the State Government to provide gas refill to the Ladli sisters of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and non-Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana for
Rs 450 continuously from July 2023. In this program, more than 26 lakh women who got gas refilled are being paid Rs 55.60 crore in their Aadhaar linked bank accounts through oil companies and Madhya Pradesh Electronic Development Corporation. “When Ladli sisters get cooking gas at a cheaper rate, there will be savings in their household expenses as well as the ill effects of smoke from cooking on the stove on the health of sisters and children will be stopped.
Due to reduced use of wood, forests and environment will also be protected.” CM Yadav said. Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, Collector Ashish Singh along with other prominent personalities were also present during the same.
