INTENSIFYING the struggle Joint Forum of Trade Unions & Association (JFTU) in PSGI, companies gave clarion call to stage half day sit in dharna followed by lunch hour demonstrations on Monday at major centers of the country. The employees are demanding immediatediscussiononWage Revision due from August 1, 2022, uniform 30 per cent FamilyPension and14percent management contribution to NPS till scrapping of NPS. In Nagpur, PSGI employees gathered in front of Regional OfficeofOriental InsuranceCo. Ltd,NelsonSquare and staged demonstrated.
 
They also observed sit in dharna in front of cabin of Chief Regional Manager. After dharna lunch hourdemonstrationswerecarried out. A gate meeting was also organised, in which Rajendra Saroj of NICOA and Anil Sakharkar of GIBCEWA in their address informed gathering about the present situation of their demands and scheduled meeting with Chief Labour Commissioner at New Delhi on November 14. Comrade Pradeep Dharamthok, President of GeneralInsuranceEmployees’ Union, Western Zone (GIEU WZ) expressed the views that unity and struggle of Public Sector General Insurance (PSGI) employees will definitely give them success in achieving their legitimate demands.
 
He was talking in gate meeting held in front of Regional Office of Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. He further said that PSGI employees are not only fighting for their wage revision but they are also fightingagainstGovernment’smove of privatization of PSGI companies. He informed that the banking employees are also on thepathofstruggleon theissue of removal of services of employees by declaring them non-performing. Rohit Shivhare conducted themeeting. OnbehalfofGIEU WZ Prashant Dixit General Secretary and Vinay Karpe, Regional Secretary, Sanjay Shivankar of UIICOA, Ashish Kutemate of NICOA, Omkar Shende of AIGISC/STEW Parishad ( J), Suhas Thul of OICOAandGurudasHemrajani of GIPA were present. A large number of PSGI employeesandretired employees participated in the agitation.ChandrakantDeshpande, Deepak Gotmate, Gaurav Kurve, Rupali Gautm, Yashoda Gangotri, Prajwalit Satpute, Ravi Bulbule, Kiran Bhisle, and Kailash Paroche tookefforts for thesuccess of dharna and demonstrations.
