THE Nagpur Municipal
Corporation (NMC) has
launched a campaign to take
action against people illegally
disposing of waste, spitting and
urinating in public places.
On Monday, the nuisance
detection squad of the civic
body registered 121 cases and
collected a fine amounting to
Rs 71,000 form the violators.
The authorities took action
against 32 vegetable sellers,
vendors for dumping garbage
in openplaces, 13cases against
those illegally utilizing footpaths, 34 cases against those
obstructing roads, 1 cases for
occupying footpaths for cattle,
2 cases against chicken centre
for dumping waste on open
places, and others for similar
violations.
NMC is committed to keeping the city clean and ensuring
that individuals who violate
waste disposal regulations face
appropriate consequences.
